Scuffing of Cylinder Points : scuffing of cylinder, ic engine problems, internal combustion engine, problems relating to engine cylinder It is due to inadequate lubrication in which adhesive wear produces scratches and tears in a mating surface. Lubrication defect like poor grade of oil thin or diluted oil, dirty oil or oil with abrasives causing excessive wear produces scuffing of cylinder walls.
