(i) Never drop cylinders on the floor carelessly nor permit them to strike each other violently.
(ii) Always use one cylinder for one refrigerant avoid confusion.
(iii) The caps provided for valve protection should be kept on cylinders except when cylinders are in use.
(iv) Whenever refrigerant is added to or taken out of a cylinder, immediately thereafter weight the cylinder and record the weight of refrigerant in the cylinder.
(v) Never use cylinders for rollers supports or for any purpose other than they are meant for. (vi) Never temper with safety devices provided on cylinder valve.
(vii.) Open cylinder valves slowly. Never use wrenches or tools other than approved by the gas manufacturer.
(viii) Regulators and pressure gauges provided for use with a particular gas must not be used on cylinders containing different gases.
(ix) Never store cylinders near highly inflammable substances such as oil, gasoline, waste etc.
(x) Cylinders should not be exposed to continuous dampness salt water or salt spray.
(xi) Store full and empty cylinders separately to avoid confusion.
(xii) Protect cylinders from any object that will produce a cut or other abrasion in the surface of the. metal.
