Identification of Engine Intake Leakage
Identification of Intake Leakage
Points : Identification of Intake Leakage, Identification of Engine Smoking, Identification of diesel engine, exhaust smoke may be:, Identification of a gasoline engine,, exhaust smoke may be, Problems in Internal Combustion Engine
Engine intake (or vacuum leaks) show up during inspection as a hissing sound, like air leaking out of a tire.
Vacuum leaks are loudest at idle and temporarily quiet down as the engine is accelerated (manifold vacuum drops
with engine acceleration). Very rough engine idling usually accompanies a vacuum leak.
Identification on the Engine Coolant Leakage
Identification on the Coolant Leakage
Points : Identification on the Coolant Leakage, problems in internal combustion engine
In come case of overheating, it has been found that hot exhaust gas
is passing form the combustion chamber into the water jacket through
the internal leak. This leak can be from a crack in the block or
head or may be from a defective cylinder head gasket.
Identification of the Engine Oil Leakage
Identification of the Engine Oil Leakage
Points : Problems in internal combustion engine, Identification of the Engine Oil Leakage, Excessive Oil Consumption, Oil Leakage (Visual), Crankcase Pressurization Oil Leaks, Oil Leakage (Visual Upon Examination, Oil Consumption, Driving Conditions,
Fresh oil on any engine housing usually washes the dirt from that part has is an excellent indication that oil is
leaking from that area, Washed areas on the ventilator side of the chassis usually are caused by oil being blown
or sucked out of the crankcase. It is surprising how much oil can be lost through a small leak. One drop of oil
every hundred feet causes an oil loss of a quart per thousand miles. Note how the center of the road is covered
with oil from r external leaks and you will realize the need for checking this loss. Note that these drippings are
much more dense on an upgrade, due to blow by pressure forcing the oil through defective gaskets and bearings.
Identification of Engine Troubles
Identification of Engine Troubles
Points : Identification of I.C. Engine Troubles, Problems in Internal Cumbustion Engine
A few common engine mechanical problems include: leaking gasket, worn piston rings, burned and leaking valves,
loose or worn engine bearings, worn timing chains, and damaged (cracked broken, scored engine parts. These problem
can occur after extended service (high mileage), engine overheating, lack of periodic maintenance, and other types
of abuse. The symptoms (signs) that result from these types of problems include:
