Importance of Firing Order on Exhaust
Points : importance of firing order on exhaust, problems related to exhaust system, problems in internal combustion engines, ic, engine, auto diesel
The tuning and timing of the engine, which relies on a certain amount of back pressure from
following the exhaust gases out of cylinder through valve overlap.
Firing order refers to the sequence in which combustion occurs in each engine cylinder. The
ignition must occur according the firing order of the engine. If spark plug wires are crossed
and not connected according to the firing order back firing is caused by the air fuel mixture
igniting in the intake manifold or exhaust system. A loud BANG or POP sound can be heard when
the fixture ignites and buns.
